Dominic Colenso
actor, author, communications expert.

By the time he was 26, Dominic Colenso had flown a spaceship, lost a million dollars, and been fired by Simon Cowell. Today he helps leaders and sales teams cut through the noise and perform when it matters most.

Dominic started out as an actor. He trained at Drama Centre London, worked at the National Theatre and the Royal Court, and appeared in BBC dramas, before landing the part that still gets mentioned first: Virgil Tracy in the Hollywood remake of Thunderbirds, opposite Bill Paxton and Sir Ben Kingsley. Alongside his acting career, he also honed his craft as a theatre director, training at RADA, where he later went on to teach.

For more than fifteen years, Dominic has taken that experience into business. Drawing on his work on stage and screen, he translates the tools used by world-class actors into practical communication strategies for the workplace. The focus is not just on presenting better, but on clearer thinking, stronger presence and messages that land under pressure.

He is especially known for his work in tech, pharma, finance and professional services, helping subject matter experts find their voice, simplify complex ideas and deliver leadership, sales and pitch narratives that land, whether in the room or on camera. His keynotes and workshops draw on the methodologies in his two books, IMPACT and Cut-Through, which won Best Business Self-Development Book at the 2026 Business Book Awards. He is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Arts and the Professional Speaking Association. Audiences leave with tools they can apply immediately, not theory that stays in the room.
